Today was 30 degrees, sun shining and Tshirt weather. Have enjoyed today with the family and we are getting so much shared catching up time. Really there is only so much that can be said over the phone or computer screen. Lovely to listen to Miss 6 reading some of the new books we gave her, with very little prompting from her parents. I think that's a success for public school edumications.

Morning Dot, we had a very early night in bed about 8.30pm, both feeling exhausted.
23 already & we have a N/W wind across the lake been a perfect weekend weather wise in our location.

Shirley will tell you, the day got better and better, until it was a ripper hot day with lots of crazies out on the lake for a public holiday Monday.

Our tenant texted last night that her air con would not cool her house. We were not really surprised as she seems to run the darn thing for most of the day and every night, all night. I replied to put it on the cooling mode and ignored all texts . Over breakie, she sent another saying that she has the air con on the right setting and 28 degrees and it still wont cool. dddeeeeeerrrrr She had very dark hair, but she is really a blond bimbo in disguise. After I suggested that she try 20 degrees, amazingly the thing worked properly. How come we found such a pest? Luckily for her, she pays her rent regularly or this would have been a good reason to kick her out. We opened the windows today, it was so lovely with a gentle-ish breeze. I can hear the air con next door is still going full bore. She can have the electricity bills, so not my problem.

Had another lovely day with the family visiting, they are gone now boo hoo.

Missed last night cuz I went to sleep in the chair again. No news or anything really earth shattering, dam throat is scratchy again so may have to try some ? sherry to numb it. What do yu reckon? Dear friend in Harvey Bay went into palliative care today so I guess it won't be long for her now. Very very wealthy woman but you wouldn't know it she is so down to earth and extra "normal" and boy could she play pool and load a logging truck out in the bush. Bloody cancer strikes again. Weather wasn't so good today Dot, overcast & trying to rain all day, I did get my washing dry, we shouldn't complain after a stunning long weekend.
Nathan eldest of our younger g'sons caught a pan size bream off our jetty this arvo, he went home with it scaled, cleaned & ready to cook, he's really enjoying fishing.
Having a ganglion taken off my finger tomorrow, it keeps swelling then busting, Dr told me will not heal without removal & specialist told me might come back again, fingers crossed.

Dot, the need for extra naps is not a problem, as long as you are breathing and having a few laughs. Every day is a bonus in my book.xxxx

As Shirley said, it wasn't such a nice day today, but the weekenders have all gone home now. so the lake is quiet anyway. We did very little of excitement except trying to get a painter to paint the trims on the house. We did have one fella turn up and he came back later with a friend to give a scaffolding quote....ouch, ouch, ouch.

Hope your ganglion has forever gone Shirley, I had one on the top of my hand and the anesthetist whom I worked with did it the old fashioned way ie. put a coin over the thing and squeezed with all his might till it burst and he said it wouldn't hurt men are such liars. Got another one on my thumb joint but I could do that one all by myself hasn't come back either.
It has been freezing here and air con has been on all day, gotta keep warm.

Had a very long day today, drove th Gosford for a long endocrinologist appointment and now I am totally exhausted.

Dot we should have a couple of sunny days ahead then overcast again. Had to take a late bit of pain relief and wide awake. Tomorrow giving the daughter a hand to clean all the rubbish from their unit after the repairs from the last lot of tenants.
