Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Then who came up with idea of tennis to make test cricket look interesting and lively?

The Big Bash cricket is about the only one that interests me because it is fast and there is a result after a few hrs

To my mind Big Bash Cricket is schoolboy playground cricket. Our sport teacher in primary school set a rule that if the ball was hit in the air then the batter was out because there was little skill in doing so.

If the skill level required to be any good at Big Bash cricket was shown in a school playground they would be grabbed up immediately and earn money few of us could ever dream of earning. Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne made big names for themselves on the test cricket scene but were out cheaply last night.
Big money to be made by these very skilled players as they travel the world playing in the many competitions.

By the way, a ball hit up in the air is just about a guaranteed caught out dismissal, it requires the ball to be hit with enough power to not only get it in the air but also travel 85mtrs or more to make it over the boundary rope or it will be caught.
