Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I’m not adding 2020 to my age.

It was a year that I didn’t do anything with.

I thought we might have to add multiples to cover the yr 2020, it took so many twists and turns and I feel aged the population that survived it .... like something you can add to you resume: I survived 2020, have a greater understanding of my dog's behaviour, didn't kill my kids or partner and have the greatest respect for school teachers these days. I feel I have learnt a lot about myself so I'm not likely to ever need to "go out to find myself" or spend hrs in deep reflection .... I've seen about all the reflection of myself I can handle for quite some time.

It might get you over the line for that job application, just because you gave the boss a laugh ;)

One good thing about the lockdown:
People are less likely to slag off at teachers “who only work 9 to 3.30 and get 10 weeks holiday every year”!!

Its kinda funny now, that after a bit of lockdown , and some home schooling, that some of the parents actually appreciate how hard it is to try to educate children on a daily basis.
Just saying.........

David, I certainly think teaching at a high school today would be very challenging, primary school maybe a little easier, many kids today don't know the meaning of discipline & take no notice of instructions.

My kids were home schooled by me, who had no education and had a war with education departments who said they would end up illiterate and on the streets. Sadly it failed, as one of my kids is a construction engineer, one a vet, one a successful manager in a large corporation and the other, a successful clinical psychologist. Home schooling is easy, we surfed every day when on the coast, travelled constantly playing music. They handled their own finances from a very early age, bought their own clothes and other things, chose the sports and activities they wanted to get into and we discussed everything with them, no matter what it was.
