Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

primary school maybe a little easier,
Yahiro is a primary school teacher (gov't primary school). She easily works 50 - 60 hours a week, every week And during school holidays too. It's ridiculous the amount that is required.

What really got up SWMBO’s nose was that just before every school holiday, the newspapers & TV stations have features on “How To Cope With Your Children Over The Holidays”.
They never reciprocate at the end of the holidays with a feature for teachers on “How To Cope With 26~30 Hyperactive Teenagers For The Next 10 Weeks Of Term”....

I told another chemistry joke today, but I didn’t get a reaction.

I don’t know if my formula was off, or what.
I just know there was no catalyst.

Funny thing is, that joke works for me periodically.

If we’re not supposed to eat late night snacks,
Why is there a light in the fridge?

So the afternoon shift workers could put the groceries away that they bought on the way home from work .......?

Anyway, the light is there to give the little man something to do rather just sit in a cold cupboard and shiver .... notice there is no light in the freezer .... OH&S said the conditions would require a heated room for the light switch person (can't be sexist now) so they only work one day a mth when the cold is reduced and they clean away the ice build up .......

I was doing the nostalgic trip thing the other day, flipping through the records at a second hand shop .... and I found a record labelled, "The sounds Wasps make" Took it home and played it but I didn't think it sounded anything like wasps, then I realise I was playing the "Bee" side .....

Does light still travel at the speed of light when it’s dark?
If it doesn’t, what is the speed of dark?

No, it doesn't ..... saw that on an ABC doco about how light is affected by gravity and the event horizon around a black hole.

The speed of dark depends on what type of dark absorber is being used. The old filament type dark absorbers altered the speed of dark when an electrical current passed through the element until it absorbed all the dark around it. When it was powered down the dark would slowly escape but the speed increased the longer the current stopped passing through the element .... until finally all the dark flooded back out and filled the area.
With the introduction of LED dark absorbers, the speed the dark can travel away from the LED absorbers reduces over the first few minutes it is powered up, but the dark escaped very quickly when they are powered down ......

Did that answer your question Ray?
