Re: Bedroom window view
That black silo is about 300 metres away and is now unused.
The whole marina and housing estate used to be a dairy farm.
The developers bought it & demolished almost everything except that feed silo that was next to the dairy. The feed gravitated into the dairy and a conveyor system delivered a 'measured' amount to each cow as it was being milked.
Those silos were installed free to the farmer as long as he bought the feed from the company that filled it up with a 'blower' truck.
When the farm was sold the 'owner' of the silo was supposed to come and take it away ..........
It is really huge. Much bigger than it looks in that photo.

Re: Bedroom window view
Is that river flowing upside down Helen? Looks a bit like the Darling when it reaches the Murray and turns it into a brown mud colour, too thick to swim in but not thick enough to ploughHelen Grose wrote: ↑Fri Feb 15, 2019 7:03 am On the back of the ovens River At Banolong VIC Very pretty

hope I remember to take a photo of this spot in the morning before we head off. A magic position beside the other Murray River in WA in an area called Nth Yunderup ... what is it with every town name ending in up?
