It would appear from his actions (or lack of) today, John Barelaros has publicly declared that remaining in power is of far greater importance than principles.

Maybe splitting from the Liberal party and going into a coalition with the Shooter, Fishers and Farmers party would shake up the whole political stalemate a bit. The libs could never win a majority in their own right, either state or federal, but maybe a coalition between a number of similarly motivated and interest driven parties could put up a fight against the labor party, the libs certainly couldn't do it on their own ..... might be the wake up call the libs required
