I remember trying some of them a long time ago thinking they'd be better for me than the sugar ones.

So bad I thought at one time was going to get a product

Probably made from corn syrup, yanks only consider the granulated stuff made from sugar cane to be sugar, the rest is a natural sweetener or non sugar sweetener .... such is the power of the sugar industry
