WANTED, NEW INSURANCE COMPANY

Post by Busman »

We have the cars and ute, as well as Morayfield house with Youi, half the price of others, just a larger excess. That don't matter when you don't claim.

Just got KT ask, $300 more than last year for $15K less value ????????????

I don't think so.

Who is with any reasonable company ?

Bus they have down values to $135K agreed now as we only insured for $150K in the beginning, even though valuation was nearly $190 K, am feeling a little hard done by.

We changed to CIL a few years ago, don't remember how much cheaper it was, but it was significant $$$.

Hi William,
Try to get a few quotes online. The first time you take out a policy, they will give you great rates. You do have to watch them when renewing and if the price is ridiculous, go back online and change again.
Sorry that's a fact of insurance life. We are with APIA and every policy renewal that I get, I ring and ask for a better rate due to having so many things with them and I usually get a good discount. That phone call is worth the effort.
Good luck with it xxx

Agree with Deborah,
Ring around every renewal time. You'd be surprised at the difference it makes.

If you have a factory-made m/h, as distinct from a home conversion, the Avida RV Club has a deal going through a broker in (I think) the Gippsland area. He deals with Allianz, and gets a special package with coverage for not only the vehicle but also contents up to $5,000 or $10,000 (depending on the package you choose), and toad with or without trailer. If you have just a trailer it's covered automatically. A car on a trailer must be separately insured, but the trailer it's on is included in the m/h policy at no extra cost.
You have to join the club (+/- $50pa from memory), and you can get Roadside Assist anywhere in Oz (guaranteed) for an extra $220.
We used it at Uluru, and they were there in 15 minutes, because they have a serviceman stationed there!
Regards & God bless,
Ray
