Think I might have a coldie... NOT a Coopers! Something made with other than swamp water.
I know! I'll crack a Cascade!!! Have to raid my Christmas Reserves for that...

Wow, Alex Minaur won again tonight in 5 sets, great to see young Australians winning the tennis matches, he plays Nadal next that should be an interesting match.

I imagine Raffa would be unbackable favourite, but it will be great experience for the young Aussie.
And you never know your luck in a big city... coupla years ago, Djokovic lost in the first round of (I think) the US Open...

Twas a great game that one. I can't watch Nadal with all his prodding and de dagging stuff so hope the Aussie wins. In the end I always support Roger. But I like the boys in lycra at the moment. Too dam hot

Some of the grunting woman are worse than Nadal, think they are all copying Sharapova, I end up turning the match off, also some of the commentary gets boring with them constantly repeating themselves, most viewers know how to play tennis & can see what is happening.

We too switch off if Sharapova is playing.
However, while channel surfing t’other night I ACCIDENTALLY watched her play for a few minutes... she’s stopped the screeching!
At least for the match I partially watched.
Maybe someone told her she was losing viewers for the sponsors... or maybe that ticket sales for her matches were down...
Either way, it proves that the screeching was not necessary, and is in fact a form of cheating, as her opponents can’t hear the sound of her racquet on the ball, which gives a clue to the speed and type of stroke.

The players must be desperate for $$$ with them doing those stupid uber ads nearly as bad as "the grunters and screeches", and not forgetting Nadal's habits.

Just been going thru the members pages. Quite interesting about some of the folk that used to post and no longer are here.died bored or gone elsewhere...Came across the post about when Al Lawrence (Wanderer) was asked to to be a Mod. Then next thing a post about his passing.Brings back a few really good memories of the people we met and made good friends when we did our OZ travelling. Some of them have gone into the sunset ...
