Vik, not sure if you have noticed before, but our Dorothy, as George will always call her, could talk underwater with a mouth full of marbles. That is unless she is either in a non serviced area, or Hele TFFBO has somehow managed to turn her phone off. Whatever it is, we still love you Dottie, and Helen too.πŸ‘πŸ‘

Overnight with the loo tap on it used 40 litres with the loo tap off it used 5 litres this does not fully account for the large water bill. The lady at SA water says that if a plumber says there was a water leak there could be a rebate I will talk to her again to find out what info is required for a possible rebate. Let you know what she says.

Ask George. He knows where the leaks are. (Newcastle George that is.)

Dot, last year we had an enormous water bill which was tracked down to an undetectable leak beneath the concrete driveway of up to 5000 litres/day. We had a plumber confirm in writing that it was undetectable and run a poly work around. We put in a claim to Hunter Water and were reimbursed 50% of the leakage. I had taken a reading of the water meter on the day we received the enormous bill and continued taking readings until the leakage was fixed. Those readings were included in the claim.

Before going to bed take a reading on the meter
Then before doing anything in the morning , loo included, take another meter reading
That way you will see how many Ltrs your not using and getting billed for every night.
