Geeze I would be camped outside their sales room with a bloody big sign about your woes. They are too expensive to have all those probs that you have had with it.

Unfortunately not, BM. :(
The mudguards have footsteps moulded into front, rear & top centre. This adds slightly to the height, but not a huge problem.
The mounting is via slots on inboard face, and I have already taken up all of that adjustment.
Tyre-to-mudguard clearance is at a minimum as it is. Any filing of the slots would have the guards either touching the tyres or so close that any stones thrown up would cut into the plastic guards, probably destroying them.

Ray I've seen that problem overcome on car carriers.
You make up a manual cam for the front wheels.
When driving on and getting out of the car you have it raised and then manually turn the cam to lower the front.
Not sure if you've ever seen a farmer's field bin but they use the same idea.
Raise it (the bin) for shifting the bin but lower it (the bin) down when filling it with grain.
I'll see if I can find a sketch.

Looks like an awful lot of engineering for what is not an insurmountable problem.
Think we’ll persevere with the ‘back door’ solution.
Uh, not THAT one, the CAR’S back door!!
