Thanks Keith. We did enquire why we only had one key plus a “wet” key and were told that’s the way it is.

We have an Iveco dealer just down the road so I will call in and check out the situation with them.
Cheers

No Bruce,
Parts did not arrive, one has to come from another dealership as IVECO store was out of stock.
Maybe this afternoon.

"tanks" here---Peter,
Lay it on IVECO for accommodation costs due to their inefficiency.
Worth a try with motels around 150 per night. All you have to do is become a motel for the period.

On the Road again etc,
Picked up the IVECO at 2100 hrs Wednesday, left Yass [after picking up the 5'er] at 2245 hrs, arrived at Moss Vale showground at 0025 hrs, fast asleep at 0030 hrs.

Vehicle ran well no noises etc they said they will send me the photos of the damage.
Towing $3000 paid by NRMA Premium.
gearbox repairs $7000 paid by IVECO

Good news Peter. I'm glad it all worked out for you.
Educate an idiot please? What's a 5'er?

5er = fifthwheeler = trailer as in semi-trailer.
In trucky talk a fifth wheel is the turntable bolted to truck chassis.
So I'm guessing a 5er refers to what connects to that turntable.
Just to throw a spanner in the works .... I guess if you have a bogie drive it might be called a 7er?

PS. Good news Peter!! Any written cover on the worked on bits?

That is good news Peter, I was hoping that they didn't leave you hanging over the Xmas break.
Where are you headed next?
