Dottie,
I have a sneaking suspicion that the Choof-Choof is not the genuine article.
Never seen one with a boiler made of corrugated iron before!
Boiler pressure would be sh!t... :?

Have a look at the wheels Ray. It was made by the men's shed, the buffer things on the front are made from black plastic plant pots. :lol: :lol:

Yup! That was another give-away. Not many steam trains were fitted with alloys & radial tyres! 🤭😝

David that video was an eye opener!!!
The one a farmer had next to my father's farm ran at a MUCH slower speed that actually allowed time for the water to flow in & out & the valves to open & close!!!
He had rigged to pump on both strokes (up & down) and it was a 10" bucket. He had it through a compensator to even out the pulses & was irrigating 10 acres of lucerne with it.
Water bore depth of 160 feet. He had it counter balanced with a tonne of steel.
