Chuck's belated birthday

Post by Dot »

Oh Chuck we are so sorry to have missed your birthday on the 6th August. You must put it on your profile info. So I guess you were spoiled as usual and had a great day. Love from him and me . xx I had to share a memory.

Umm... yeah, thanks.

Am definitely a member of the 'Old Farts' now, & here's why.

The previous day Trina & I headed down to Penrith for haricuts.

Arrived in the usual parking area to find it empty!!! Very unusual! Anyway, went through the usual exercise of getting out of the car etc, then closed the drivers door & slid my hand along the handle to lock it (as long as you have the key with you), turned to walk away & noticed the side mirrors had not folded.

Normally this would mean one of the doors was not properly closed - or ???

Checked them all & all ok, but the car would still not lock.

By this time Trina was across the road & looking back at me with a stunned look on her face... I've kinda got used to that ( ;) ). Anyway she came back over & I explained what was going on.

She got back in the car & said.....

The bloody motor is still running!!!

Oh $hit!

I turned it off & everything was just dandy!!!

I wonder what the next surprise will be...?

Dear Chuckles- add to your profile because I have lost, misplaced, whatever where I wrote yours and Trina's birthdays down on when we were there last. Another day older and deeper in debt but know you would have celebrated some way! big hugs to you both.

Happy Birthday Chuck, don't ya just hate it when the car is smarter than the driver  In the old days you would have just locked it up with the motor still running and it would have been warm/cool when you returned .... well, that would be a reasonable story as to why the motor was still running anyway

"tanks" here Chuck,
It's not the running motor that causes concern---It's the EXHAUST that you have to watch out for.
Happy birthday mate.
