Classic vehicles go up in smoke

Post by T1 Terry »

https://www.northernbeachesadvocate.com ... ssic-cars/

There were a few pristine kombis and a fully restored VW single cab that were destroyed as well as a lot of classic cars and even a one of a kind Studebaker owned by the same bloke who owned the single cab VW ute ...... it would break your heart, thinking you were storing it in safety only to have it burn due to someone else's mistake. Apparently they were trying to start a GT Falcon and the fire started from there ......

Very sad.

The insurance companies will have fun working out who was at fault and then pass the bill onto the party.

Double bugger, I reckon.
I'd be devoted if any of those were mine.

“Devoted”??? 🤔
I suspect predictive text got in the way of typing “devastated”… 😢
A significant difference!!

Good pick up Ray. I hate predictive text. It has a habit of making me look silly.

Good one Bob. I reckon there wouldn't be much editing done after Ray and I hooked into a few reds.

I use an App / Extension called Grammarly,
The only thing I find wrong with it is its American spelling, so whenever I know the difference between the two I just ignore the red underline.
It highlights where I have actually spelled it wrong, it also makes grammar advice so I don't look too dumb to the occasional reader.
English was my top subject in school, and as I was/am an avid reader a dictionary was nearly always at my side.
But this posting was corrected 3 times
