Anything to reference the size, like a match box size or bigger than your hand?

Dot, I think that cane toads are much darker than your find. It does look like a toad, so can you put it in a container and take it for identification to the local ag peeps? You might have saved your whole area from the buggas

I would say it is definitely not a cane toad....and I have seen many! Cane toads have very coarse "warty" looking skin and are more uniform brown than your little fella and definitely not white underneath. I would say he is some kind of frog.

I spotted the thing when I went to hand more of the curry curtains out on the line and yes G was there so I blew the thing a kiss and 0 happened ( story of my life) anyway the fat thing went over the other side of the block, did a search last night and it doesn't appear to be a golf practice item..
G is back at the little house patching up knocks in the walls etc, curtains in the bin, can't get the stink out, the cleaner was given 4 hrs by the yank property manager to clean but it will take a good 8 and we are also doing stuff.. Must see what the landlords insurance covers. When / if it gets rented again I am going to be either the worlds worst landlord or the pickiest from hell... As well as no smoking inside there will also be no curry cooking inside, see if I can make the headlines for discrimination with that one,

Re: Banal .. Open to any topic on and off topics etc
Well, just had a visit from a friend that does tree lopping and he has to take out a big gum tree as it has some bug and will not be safe so next yr we have fire wood. Also going to get his big mulcher in to do the stuff we cut down.. Also had a ph call from the lady boss from Ikea, we had a cold meal last week and so I complained, she was great and is now going to send out a couple of free meal tickets as well as kick some butt. See no harm in being an old winger, nice to know someone listens..
George has spent a good hr trying to de grease the kitchen extractor fan (not the motor part) from the little house, have tried, truck degreaser liquid, the spray, sugar soap, bleach, lemon and white vinegar, and last but not least boiling water .. all these have been in vain so we shall do the best we can and might end up putting a new one in as it stinks of greasy curry. I have had a bit better success with the plastic cover but I have had to scrape the stuff off with a Stanley knife to get a start on it.. Bloody tenants
2 days work from us again for nix. Still raining and the trees etc are all singing "Here comes the rain"

Finally received the fridge hinges at 5.05pm yesterday after at least 4 phones calls to Toll Priority. The consignment had been in Longreach since Wednesday afternoon but no attempt at delivery till someone from Toll's Sydney office got onto the deliverer (she said to me "I think I woke him up! when she called him at lunchtime). Both Toll and Camec will be hearing from me. Was told by CP management that this is fairly standard practice with deliveries out there.
