Current time as shown at top right.

Post by baysidetas »

I have just noticed that although the time is presently 11.24pm on Tuesday 20th August the line above right says it is 12.23 on Wednesday 21st.

Why is this?

A short explanation & fix .
The Forum's time is set to Central Australian Time.
You can change it to suit where you live or are travelling.
ucp.php
The following is from the Board Set Up page. (Not available for members)

Guest timezone:
Timezone to use for displaying times to users who are not logged in (guests, bots). Logged in users set their timezone during registration and can change it in their user control panel.
...[UTC + 9:30] Australian Central Standard Time

Once you fiddle with that the next step is to either click or remove the click for Daylight Savings Time. (also in your Control Panel)
The DST setting does NOT auto change like your computer. You'll need to either turn it on or off. (One hour in advance or not)

Some Forum Boards do allow the time to be sourced from whatever your computer clock is reporting. I'll see if this one can be 'modded'.

Thanks Bruce now I know why Dot seemed to be burning the midnight oil.
I had it set to the right time but the daylight saving box was checked so I guess that part doesn't work.

It sort of works!
It's a manual on/off.
So when daylight savings time starts (IF it starts in your state!) you need to change the radio dot to YES.
Likewise when DST finishes you'll need to put it back to NO.

Went back and reread your post, explains it.
