Best route to Narrabri

Hi, all.

Any recommendations for free camping en route to the rally? We're currently just north of Gatton, and any lakeside areas with a reasonable variety of waterfowl,about one acre of space per rig and minimal background noise would suffice. Or a pub backyard.

Found a good spot to go after Narrabri - Pilliga Hot Springs, about 80km due west of Narrabri. Still looking for the best sites en route..

Kildonan Rd can also be accessed by turning South at the Gigantic roundabout in Goondiwindi.
That waterpark is almost opposite the big truckstop in Gundy.... (behind the Subway franchise)
