I'm with you, T1!

Bluddy cicadas...

Grew up next to a bush block (coupla acres), & had to walk through another one to school.
("walk to school"... remember that?)
Summertime we'd arrive at school with temporary deafness from the cicadas!
Let's ban 'em, I say!!
:? 8-) :P

Mind you, the snakes used to give us the occasional hurry-up, too! ;)

Regarding the cicadas, I drove up Bulli Pass on Sunday and due to the cicada racket I could not hear the car radio or the sound of vehicle passing. I do miss the fun we had with fireworks when I was a teenager.

In NZ the brown & black cicadas do not hatch in the same yr but sometimes things go awry and then you know what noise is but I actually liked to walk through my 8 acres of native bush right on the beach with all that noise, then I had to let it go   BTW How is your packing going Ray?

Not watching tennis, but the wine bottle thing is tricky. You could try using a glass cutter? Maybe find a nice person who plays with glass in your area? I dunno, never tried it. I remember back in the good ol days that Ktel (remember them?) used to flog a kit specially to cut off the bottom of wine bottles. Cant remember why anyone would want to do just that though. Why do you want to do that Dot? :o  :D

Try tying a piece of string, soaked in metho, around it, the bottle that is, and set it alight. Regarding the tennis, set the screen size to 16x9, I think that's how I overcame the problem.
