Deborah,Hope you have a very successful day at the market, your glasswork is so beautiful. :D Shirley the poor wee babe was so skinny he could not lay down without being in pain and he couldn't walk. Why didn't the Child protection agency keep tabs on this little one after they had been there before?? They have a lot to answer for.

Thanks Dot for the encouragement. Sorry to miss you Shirley, unless I sell a motza tomorrow I will probably try to find a market closer to home. Leaving home before sunrise isn't worth it for just a couple of sales. So if the markets advertising actually brings in a crowd of customers, it would be worth the effort. ;) :D

The baby story is tragic, but there is hope for him. I am told that I weighed my birth weight when I turned 2 years old, and look at me now!!!!
I believe that the agencies involved are doing their best, but the regulations and over interference from the powers that be, are restricting the case workers from doing what they consider to be the right thing by the kids. I do know this from a case worker who nearly had a nervous breakdown over breaking the rules in order to save a little life. Kid survived and case worker quit the job.

Perfecto Dot, got that, non directional posts! love it.

Shirley, please try to keep some time free for the Saturday before Mothers Day....I did sell a lot more today than expected and next month they will be having a publicity push on radio. Did you guess I paid up for another month at Cherry Blossom Markets? I hope to meet you Shirley. Dont worry I will remind you and anybody else who is visiting Newie at the time. :o ;)

Pleased that you had a good day, I thought last night watching the news that Steamfeast at Maitland might have affected the markets, guess the weather would have been in your favour o'cast & dull most of the day here.

You are very right Shirley. Steam fest was blamed for a lot of stallholders pulling out and not a huge crowd of customers, but the ones who came, slowed down , had a proper look at the stalls and parted with their money. What more could a girl ask? :D :D :D :D

Hmmm good question Deborah ;) Glad your weekend wasn't a total loss and better luck next market. Shall let you know if there is anything like yours at the Meadows market over Easter. It is a 4 day do. Have another yard dweller ready for the long haul (14ks) to Ashbourne on Tuesday, there is some laughter emanating from outside so must go and investigate. :D

I am still laughing at the email I got this week from the organisers of the Mudgee farmers and craft markets. They aren't interested in me setting up a stall, I am not a local and that is their criteria. I cant wait to ask the "farmers" where they come from and where does their food come from?
I will set up a stall very close to their gates and visible from their markets, but inside the caravan park fence! Just because I can! Miouw!
