Re: Banal .. Open to any topic on and off topics etc
"tanks" here Dot,
I have the Remmington hair cutter set with me in a carton somewhere in the trailer.
The Remmington is a 240 volt unit with the gauges from 1 to something around 4 or 5, and it is all ready to go.
If you allow me to do the cut I will be very gentle with you, and you can suck on a WEIS BAR as you loose your locks to help get over the shock. My hands still shake a bit, so perhaps someone with a more steady hand may be your appointee.
I have read up on "hair-cutting lesson 004" page 6, which does not tell me very much. Perhaps if you allow me to operate the cutter thing I will only cut one side of your head at a time. I suggest that you bring a small mirror when you come so as you can observe the progress of the cut/shave.
If you get too excited during the operation, there are people here who can hold you down, or take turns on the clippers !
If you don't like the result you can stop half way through, and just walk around sideways so as you present the good side, or wear a big straw hat while I study up on Lessons 006 & 007, which also deals with nose hair and ear hair.
This is a more advanced tuition stream and perhaps best left to the more experienced person. I can also read up on lesson 020, which covers top lip hair, however I think this is aimed at the Italian and Greek nationals.
What more can you ask for.
A WEIS BAR AND HALF A HAIR CUT !!
Keith.
I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Reminds me of Gene Wilder in Blazing Saddles, when he holds out his steady right hand says to the new black sherrif; "see that hand?" Yes reply the sherrif. Gene holding out the violently shaking left hand, he says; "I shoot with that one"!Keith Morris wrote:If you allow me to do the cut I will be very gentle with you,...

Have been surprised up to date that the least I've paid was $24.95 at BCF WA and the most was $25 at Port Agusta Mobile station in SA. I have a feeling that that is about to end as we travel further north.

Re: Banal .. Open to any topic on and off topics etc
Friends of our in a very big bus with a very big trailer decided they would decant their own refills from a larger cyl. He trained up and was certified, courtesy of the CMCA at the Canberra rally where he volunteered as a refiller at the rally head office. He then purchased the decanting equipment from an evil bay seller, final costing was around $12.50 per refill per 9kg bottle at the price back then for an exchange of the larger household type bottles. When he travelled to WA he claimed he was square on his initial equipment and replacement full bottle outlay by the time he had finished his first bottle, just filling peoples bottles at rest areas for a few $$ cheaper than the local going price, the convenience when travelling more than paid for itself. Got me thinking about a rack to mount a big bottle under the big bus, drag it out at the more expensive refill areas and do discount refills to supplement the income.Chuck wrote:Hmm... have been considering bottling my own.![]()
