I have been to Bris child minding for 2 days & to-day have been doing more house packing. Just had shower & now the hottie has to go to work on the back & neck. Been lifting some heavy tubs etc. Yea I know I shouldn't but when this impatient person want's something she wants it done yesterday :!: At least I admit to being that way inclined. Have also filled my 2 under table drawers which were attached while I was in Bris. Now have 2 big drawers under stove for more things. :P :P
Dismantled the bunk beds this morning as well, could do ours as well I guess & sleep in the van as using all linen etc from van.
Son has found where we can put the shipping container after we have it packed which is great- a lot cheaper than a storage facility.
Not counting but only 46 more sleeps in house .Yippee.
Time is passing too quickly so live life to the full with your spouse/partner while you still have she/he by your side.

Yes it's been a bit quiet on the forum but a lot of people are busy heading home from the holidays etc.
Like most forums we have most members content to just read other's posts and can't be bothered contributing.
I'm not sure there's an answer.
It's quite often those that don't post that then accuse the posters of hogging the 'show'.
We can only provide the facilities ....... it's up to the members to do the posting.

Wow! 46 more sleeps? Bet you can't wait!!
Have you got your first overnight place picked out? A lot suggest the first night should be 'around the corner' so you can duck back and pick up those things you suddenly realised you've forgotten.
Others suggest you should return home after a few weeks to unload all the junk you realise you don't need!!! (husbands?)

:D

Kay, your 46 days sent me off to count up ours. 50  We have house sitters organised now - just hope they will be okay. They do seem to love our cat! We are madly cleaning out a lot of accumulated cr*p and some good but no longer needed stuff which the local op-shop is benefitting from. :D Spending a small fortune on the LC to get it up to speed for The Outback Way. Good grief - retirement is an expensive, not to mention tiring, time of life! :P
Cheers

Actually we have already done the airbags. That was a separate small fortune! :? This time around it is bulbar, roof rack with spare wheel holder and ladder, snorkel, built-in UHF and antenna, iPhone hands free kit and external antenna, heavy duty recovery points, Scanguage.......blimey, I'm getting a headache just thinking about it!
Cheers

Please be aware of over using them airbags.
I know of more than one that has bent their 4X4's in half.
The chassis is designed to be 'supported' in two strategic places & if you put too much pressure in the bags then rather that 2 or 3 pressure points you just get one at the airbag.
Our friend had to get his straightened a bit & welded a couple of plates on just to get home.
It's a common problem in the outback on rough roads.

You have got to be joking Chuck- as far as in front of the camera is concerned
After 46 sleeps we cannot turn back as all stuff is i storage & house rented so what is forgotten is forgotten & I need the "husband" for many things in this life
Lesley, we still have to get 3 new tyres for Patrol but that is about all- he is just putting 3 new belts under the bonnet to-day.
Trying ( with not much luck) to convince him that we need both 9kg gas bottles in van. Either that, so that I can warm our kitchen area, with stove, to get dressed in am, or genny started for heater on cold winter morning across the Great Central Road.
First night will probably be Yelarbon (favourite spot) which is half way down to daughter's where we will have to spend a few days.
