Step/Storage
I made this up as a step for our caravan 8 or 9 years ago. We used it to store clothes pegs, shoe polish, etc. Has quality rubber backed cotton mat that actually dries off wet shoe soles. Happy for it to go to a good home for probably a beer or two one day.

Re: Step/Storage
Steve,
What are the dimensions?
And is that a solid timber lid?

58cm wide, 24cm deep (front to back), 21cm high.
The lid is solid timber - the groove that is visible accommodates the ridge atop the aluminium box.

BUGGER!!
Won't fit... But you've inspired me!
Next project on my list: one step-box.
(With carpet lid for shoe-wiping...)

Re: Step/Storage
Maybe cut the end off. Easier to get stuff in and out! Of course you would have to call it something other than a box. Never mind. I might put it in the MH next time we go to a CP and see if I can find a needy home for it.

Nah...
Too wide AND too tall!
Would look a bit strange if I gave it a haircut!
Could end up stepping in something nasty...
