Make sure you take time to head a bit inland, & visit Chillagoe.
Deceased copper smelter from WWII era.
V. friendly people, and there's a great Ford museum there. Ask at The Hub and they'll tell you how to find it...
Also, at the Post Office Hotel they have Friday Night Cheap Pizza & Saturday Night "Toss For A Beer": You toss a coin; heads you pay, tails it's free. (And the coin's legit!) ;)
