Quite a few years ago they used to just wiz you in, take out the cartilage & weld the two vertebrae together & you'd be back off to work with no more pain.
Not sure why they stopped doing it??

The radio therapy method of burning the nerve lasts for approx 12 mths till it grows back, $2,000 per site per treatment, this is possibly my next step if they can isolate which nerves, the scalpel in the neck was just a tad too scarey for me at the moment

You boys are just asking for the revenge of the pussy and the ear whisperer but I know you love me and that you have to pretend otherwise Went to bed at 8.30pm last night woke up at 1 am then 3am then 7am Got to the GP this am she reckons I must of had one of the bugs going around or the pain sent my BP berserk and so I fainted, anyway the MRI says the disc I had ectermised (my new word) has done the same on the same side. I rang the back man for the referral needed so I am going to go for the facet joint injections next week (Frid) hoping that will ease the present pain so we can get away as planned. If that doesn't do the trick after maybe 2 more then I may go for the thing called Rhizotomy but that's another story. Have decided not to go to sleep for this procedure cuz I is tough and I like to know what goes on. I could have had it done this coming Monday but had other things planned. In the meantime it's pills, pills and more pills.

Had a pleasant surprise this morning, had a ph call from Jenny aka Aussiegirl she and husb Mike were near by so the kettle went on and scones in the oven, Poor Mike was hobbling in pain with his crook knee and I greeted them bent and twisted with my bent and twisted back . Then for the obligatory walk around outside for the crippled ones to stretch their weary bodies to inspect the new bird cage and the finished bus and it was time for Jenny and Mike to hit the road home in their new car. Poor old Mike is having his crook knee fixed on Monday so Jenny will be a very very busy girl. Then another visitor arrived, my niece Sue who was up here from town to watch her son play footy. So after another cuppa and scone it was then time for another visitor to go home and for more pills for me. Birds now enjoying their new extension and the babies can escape their cranky mum & dad Hope you all had a nice day as well.
