Orright... orright!

As we were expecting BobK & MrsK here to assist with fixing the 6.5m sail track to the offside of the van - & we had promised them lunch - I offered to go into Strath to get some rolls & cold meat & stuff whilst the Nav made scones etc. So with my little list, drawn up by the Nav, of sourdough bread, rolls, cold meat etc I headed off to Woolies.

The bread on display - real stuff not that plastic wrapped sliced crap - was really quite extensive & I was almost tempted to grab a few ( ) but managed to control that urge. Instead I picked up a sourdough cob loaf, a sourdough flattish loaf, 6 wholemeal rolls - coz MrsK likes 'em, 6 Turkish rolls - coz I like 'em & they were on 'special'. Also got 200gm of sliced ham, 200gm rare roast beef & 200gm of silverside... & for pot luck ... a cooked chook!

We didn't eat it all!

But will eventually...

Never go shopping when you're hungry, learnt that lesson.. well maybe not learnt properly, still have the occasional lapse of memory fresh cooked local lake prawns and tiger buns are my usual weakness, although the local cheap meat shop and Aldi’s frozen food section has a similar effect on my shopping control logic centre

Oh for a fresh hot jam or cinnamon donut, thank god they don't have one near here.

The van is going to be a lot lighter for this next trip with the Biscuit cupboard empty, the Lolly cupboard empty, the Coke cupboard empty, the fruitcake cupboard empty and no more stopping for Devonshire teas whenever I can I will probably fade away to a shadow as these where my staple diet

Ps And I am really going to miss the fresh, still warm bread with condensed milk.

Oh Bob you poor man, I feel so sorry for you right now because you mentioned my very special favourite naughty food, Condensed milk straight from the can. Can't you ask if you can have just a little special once a week If not I guess you might be a bit healthier or skinnier or both. Bummer though
