G,Day All
I would like to thank Dot & George for the hospitality shown to Glennis and I while we stopped over at their home, we had a ball with plenty of laughs along the way, we had a great day waiting for and watching the cyclists go past, much clacking, cheering and flag waving was done, all good stuff, one tale of woe was when we went back into Adelaide to change a incorrect part for the toilet cassette which I had purchased on the way to Dots, the sat nav gave me a curved ball and when undertaking a legal ? U turn in a side street the GV was run into, damaging the drivers side passenger door somewhat, no one hurt, damage bill unknown at this time, insurance company notified and we will get it fixed when we get back to Newcastle.
we went for a drive last Saturday and ended up in Goolwa and surprise surprise the Ranger steam train was running with a return trip to Victor harbour on offer, could not resist steam so off we went, needless to say it was great. another steam trip to cross of the list.
Overall we had a great time with D&G and meeting fellow forumites last Sunday was a bonus, we are looking forward to catching up with them at the lake in May
we are currently at a free camp at Nyah heading towards Swan Hill in the morning, this site has fresh water, dump point and plenty of room its far enough of the road for peace at night and the locals are very friendly strongly recommend if you are coming this way.
Cheers
