The coal dust is terrible here.
Came up with a white Commodore and going back with a black one.
All the walls of the house have a fine layer of coal dust on them & if you hit it with the hose 60% of it comes off.
Comes inside..... on floor, sink, fridge ............ (not good)

Now there is football sized ice balls belting down !!!

Come on you lot where are you all?? Friends we met at 40mile beach last year, bought a houseboat & moored near Mannum SA have now sold the houseboat and are heading to Qld so she can get a big garden going... For those in the know it was Blue & Ann.

Better get back there while there still some of it left.
The crazy SA real estate laws say that even though you haven't paid for the property is your responsibility one the contract is signed, so hope the insurance holds up if there is nothing but smouldering ashes when we get there To make it worse, our favourite winery down that way,Keis Family Wines is in the middle of the fire I think, knew we should have bought more before it got too hot

Cool change has come in and they are expecting some rain (have had some) but need more. The winds have dropped as well so hopefully things will improve.

Never thought of that, but they did visit them once to compare their boats.

Power outage today while they put new poles up. We can run the coffee maker and milk frother from the batteries and inverter and internet and computers from the Mazda.... but no lights or ceiling fan and it's a scorcher here today.... too hot for a scan in the bedroom without the ceiling fan, think it's time I made the house non grid reliant with a switch over to inverter power when required...... but we are out of here in 4 weeks..... not gunna happen in that time frame so I guess I is gunna sweat it out, another power outage planned for Tuesday next week as well.

We have the same thing, got something in the letterbox the other day, going to be out for 8 hours during the day while they do maintenance, farm has a big diesel genset but looks like VP will be parked at home with a lead into the fridge and freezer.

Go to the pictures or the shopping centre Terry, nice and cool in those places Nice day here today but the wind has sprung up again and the fires are still giving hell. Expecting some drizzle later so hoping they can get the upper hand on fires today..
