Another trip into the city, eye guard off, eye washed, eye test, drops instilled then into see the specialist. She put something else in the eye and then had look at her handy work through the microscope and she was pleased. G was shown how to do the eye drops every 3 hrs and off we went home again. It is amazing how clear things really are . Back to see her again next week and I shall be asking to book me in for the other eye to be done next yr around Feb as the vision in my L) eye is great. Had the L) lens taken out of my glasses and only need them for the R) eye. Anyone scared about getting their cataracts done don't put it off, you feel nothing apart from a bit of a numb nut for a few hrs.. woo hoo . G 's turn to see the specialist tomorrow for report on his latest venture into the numb nut colourings

Warning,, Rant coming... Now I told you that our op shop was going to donate a trailer load of good sorted clothing and shoes to the fire appeal. Vinnies wanted it for their own shops so I contacted another co ordinate who said ".Yes fantastic if you can get it to our property (way over the other side of Adelaide) I then told him "If you have any left over you can donate it to a nearby op shop of your choice" so with that sorted I arranged a trailer and a driver to load and deliver the goods yesterday. Because I am conscious of peoples time I rang the coordinator to let him know the goods would be at his place by lunch time, then he replied "Oh we don't have enough room now sorry" WTF is wrong with people these days? So then I thought about the Animal Welfare League and their op shops that raise funds for their work. Got put on to the "logistics person" explained that we have goods for their shops and he said "they do not have a pick up service up this way but would we take it to their main shop ?' I then asked "where they did do pick ups from as we might be able to meet part way? he said "they go to the bottom of the hill but when I said that could be arranged he said " we would have to put the bags on their truck because they can't lift" So I replied " Sorry Bozo us old aged pensioners did the heavy work all for you so you can now go and get "lost" no I did not say lost but I am being a lady here... What a cheeky bastard he was. Just goes to show how lazy, greedy these people can be , want things but don't want to do anything to get it. Now going down the op shop to throw at least a trailer load of good clothing into the skip bin..

If you are told by the Worksafe people you can not do such and such when it concerns health issues (in volunteers shop) and a few totally ignore their regs, what do you do? Can't sack em or watch them every day?? talking to them has no effect End of rant.
