You'll be right Bob, we won't rub the loss in too hard. (not) Does anyone here know how to bend aluminium into a curved profile??

Raise your right knee, hold the left hand end of the aluminium in the left hand, the right hand end of the aluminium in the right hand, push the aluminium down onto the right knee. Now, assuming that your right knee is the same radius as the product you hope to end up with you will be right. Otherwise you will be left; left with a useless piece of aluminum.

Otherwise you could go to a sheet metal fabricator and they will do it properly for you.

Hope that helps. Otherwise I hope it makes you laugh - unless you have stitches from you recent visit to hospital - in which case you will be in pain and you won't have solved your aluminium problem.

Dot, Is the aluminium that needs bending flat or tubing? And what shape do you want to bend it to?
Aren't you supposed to be resting your eyes or something?

David, we are trying to do fly screens for the bus, we sent the magnetic ones from alfab back as there were too many problems with them.
The aluminium is flat & shape needed is 1/4 circle.
Not the eyes that is resting this time David :) :)

Dot, The simplest way is with a shrinker/ stretcher but not too many people have them. Can you post a pic of your windows showing the radius in the corners? It may even pay to go for a wander around a commercial vehicle wrecking yard and see if there is anything that you (George) could easily modify.
EDIT: It may be quicker and simpler to get the correct shapes cut out of 3mm alum. plate. There are laser cutting machines around that can do that.

I think you'll have to buy the corners and straights and assemble them yourself. Start googling.
