I forced myself out of bed this morning to go to town. Parked in close by car park walked 50 mts to the court house, had a stick thing waved up and down over me, rang as went through a bridge thingo then up and into the appropriate court. As usual we were early but the judge was running behind so after a few sentences spoken by some fella on video link we were then asked to leave as the next lot were in the "closed court" so out we went and sat and sat and sat , people going in & out so I opened the door and gestured to the sheriff to come hither please so then asked when could we go back in the court room?. She replied that all the following cases were all to be held in the closed court so with a rumbling belly we went for a walk around the central markets to see what people found so good about them. All we found was stinky fish markets with over priced fish, chicken shops with raw chook stacked so high the steam from within was rising yuk! then heaps of also over priced fruit and veg then what got me was a butchers sign with ONLY Halal meat NO pork so they got a spray as we went past After that we headed to the carpark and paid the $15 fee for 2 hrs and headed home for a nice cuppa and the trackie dacks back on. What a weird court system, anyone can go into the magistrates court to hear directions hearings but not so in the next step up in the District court BUT we are allowed into the trial. Oh well it was a day out I guess.. Roll on the 1st August.
After that we headed to the carpark and paid the $15 fee for 2 hrs and headed home for a nice cuppa and the trackie dacks back on.
