We also prefer our own dunny to visiting the stink-boxes at some RAs.
Mind you, we are obviously not alone in this: vans w/o on-board dunny use the surrounding bush/grass & decorate it with lengths of dunny paper, thoughtfully warning other patrons not to walk there.

Yesterday we arrived at the Retreat hotel and parked next to Bobr & Robyn for the night. Got the night free as the power was not forthcoming until some ungodly time this morning so they gave the $15 back so we had tea in the pub last night. This morning there was a very heavy dew on the awning so that had to be wiped off before setting off towards Mackay. Bob & Robyn headed back to Bedford Weir to meet up with Macca and we have stopped for a few goodies in Walkerston. Bruce that is sure some hill you mentioned, they are doing heaps of road works on it. Copyus later :)

Bobr & Robyn @ retreat hotel Qld.jpg
Here at last you get to see the "FORD" ;) plus a man doing what he is being "asked" to. Nice to once again catch up with Bob and to meet his lovely wife Robyn.
They have a nice looking set up in their car & van with those yellow batteries..

Have just pulled into a great gravel pit for the night roughly 50 odd ks from Mackay (Bruce HW) just before a railway line on the L). Good timing as right on dark. Yes we spent 3 hrs with the sat man, turned out the dish was out of shape and the rotating mechanism was defective so we ended up replacing the whole lot. This guy is a real gem I would recommend him and his side kick any day, he even got the vast box switched on and updated before we left :) Now G is having fun looking at all the channels but I just want to see some news and maybe some boys in Lycra news but now for some food is needed.

Good luck with that railway line!!
Bloody drivers take great pleasure in blasting off those ridiculously high pitched horns just to annoy motorhomers!!
Good to hear you have TV sorted out though!!

The high schools in Maryborough Qld held the man powered car races on the weekend .
My eldest G/Daughter (14) was in the race with several of her class mates . It was a 24 hour race with the kids doing shifts .
They came 5th in their division and 58th out of 144 cars .
Well-done to my G/Daughter Summah and all her class mates and their teacher .
Bernie .

Congratulation to them Bernie, what were the class division, was it on capacity or weight of the vehicle? I'd imagine a 2 people per drive session would be able to keep up a better pace just through pushing each other to the limit and by carrying the other member while they had a rest break if they needed one mid session
