I didn't think the bite of a whip snake was lethal, was it the venom that killed him or just added to problems he already had? I believe the bite hurts big time making the whole limb painful but I haven't heard of it being fatal before

I looked up my snake book, Whips are venomous but not for humans.

Maybe it was a mis-indentified snake that caused the problem. I know of a bloke who picked up what he thought was a brown tree snake because he thought it was harmless, but it was an eastern brown. He didn't survive.

This was my post....

We ie humans invade all areas of animals that were here before us and yet heaven help any animal that does what they have been doing for god knows how long should do it when us mob are around. People make me sick with all their whinges about natures happenings. Heaven forbid some bird poo on your pristine vans or some noise at dawn and dusk. As for the birds wrecking the trees well were those trees native? if they are gum trees then the birds are pruning them as they have done for ever. Shooting or what ever only makes these birds join up with another small flock or they breed up more the next season..

HIS REPLY...
No4 shot, very effective :D

Now Dot, pls read my post, this district would have 100 times the numbers of Sulphur Crested Cockatoos than 100 years ago, they have un naturally bred up due to man introduced feed by way of grain left around dairies that is augered into silos beside milking sheds.

After extreme provocation my meagre pruning just keeps them at bay a little. (I can see daily 1,000plus in a flock btw !!)

Perhaps as an invader (you) should live in a hole in the ground, (non competitive with Wombats thanks), it would be just the place you would like to live in a non invasive way would it not ?

Wearing what, well nothing, because you support getting back to nature and those leather shoes, jackets, surround the post invasive meat, it's all spoils of the invasion. Perhaps even better you (the invader) should give your land/house back to local Koories (pre invader occupiers), that's an idea, have the courage of your convictions

If my shooting the odd SCC improves their companionship and sex life well, I've really done them a favour.

If you can tell me that you have never taken ANY ACTION WHATSOEVER that affects one of natures creatures I'll be amazed - never sprayed for flies, mosquitos, ants, sprayed the aphids on the roses, poison/traps for rodents, covered the veggie garden so the birds/rabbits can't get a feed ?

All the best Dot, I understand you have your beliefs, just don't think they are practical.

Why on earth are you evening looking in that evil place?
Isn't the reason we are here, is to avoid bothering with so many rude and arrogant prats?
Please don't give them the satisfaction of ever opening their filthy forum again! Saves a lot of angst in my household!

Ummm...... would I be correct in thinking you have a low opinion of their forum Deborah  Since most of the level headed quality Admin team have left the place is more a source of entertainment than information, particularly watching a few of the Admin team react when anything associated with T1 Terry is mentioned, quite comical really

Surely the red belly black won't? Gotta protect those puppies Bernie!
When this bit of water finally gets here I'd think it'll flush a few tigers out of the bankside growth.
You better not goanna............. stick to goCarol.
