This is how the boarders get treated.. Elly dog has been visiting for the past week and Meow is just doing what she does best i.e. relaxing, and then there is the other visitor doing his relaxing

Terry have taken on board yours and Normans suggestions and are having some tyre channels welded into the floor, we use a tie down system similar to the car carriers, with a ratchet tie down on all 4 wheels, have done a few thousand klms with the trailer and no problems however an off road excursion was never planned for.

Thankfully Shannon's Insurance has come to the rescue and the car should be repaired in a couple of weeks, it's only a piece of metal in the end, and as long as no blood was lost and no bones broken it's ok by us.

Really enjoying George and Dot's hospitality, Strathalbyn is a beautiful town, and they are a wonderful couple, we are so glad we could get here to meet them.

Yesterday we got some road direction advice from Norman, my big mistake was forgetting where he comes from (and listening to him of course) we were sent on a road that had more twists and turns than a three armed contortionist, but it was a beautiful drive that would have been spectacular in a car, and was 'fun' in an 11 metre motor home towing a 6 metre trailer, thank you Norman.

Good old Shannon's comes to the rescue again, the only people you can insure a kombi for it's true replacement value, the premiums aren't that much higher but they pay out, no problems, wish all insurance companies were like that.

Brian didn't appreciate my choice of roads I directed him down on his return trip from Orange to Golbourn, apparently he missed all the spectacular scenery and only saw the shear drops each side and the very steep down hills

I have 2 cars insured with Shannons and highly recommend them. Last year before I went away boating for 3 months I checked under the bonnet of my XR8 and apparently left the radiator expansion tank cap off. Anyway Chris wasn’t joining us until 4 weeks later and during this time she drove the car and subsequently seized the motor. $9800 damage. Ouch. Shannons covered the claim and subsequently wrote the car off at our agreed value. I have a ‘77 Corvette insured with them and its ‘agreed’ value goes up every year!!

Couldn't agree more Terry and Rob, we've been with Shannon's for years and have always found them to be very fair and reasonable, also have the other cars and house with them as well, they have a great multi policy discount.

If you're a long standing customer the will also cover the the motor home, rates are similar to KT but without the assistance benefits although they say that may change soon.

We know we shouldn't have listened to Norman but he was so convincing and really sounded like he knew what he was talking about. , and it was a very scenic drive almost all up hill in 3rd gear with the Jimmy sounding fantastic ,so it wasn't all bad, until we filled up the Diesel tanks oh well, what do they say,"you gotta pay for your play".

The mighty GM scream, the diesel engine that can turn $$ into music to the trained ear, at least the mighty Cleveland does it a few $$ cheaper although the rate LPG is going up I'm not sure just how much cheaper
I still think the 8V71 sings the sweetest, the 92 doesn't have the revs and the 53 revs so high it sounds like all the bits will fly out any second THE V6 doesn't have the same note, sort of a karaoke version of your favourite tune
