All the breads they are mostly beef cattle is that right I grew up on a dairy farm very different to beef farming it sounds interesting i dont think the land ever leaves your blood Mind you been so many years i have forgotten more than i learnt
Is it dry where you are take care

Hi Helen, yes beef. We are in the Eastern Desert of NT. I have worked on dairy farms too. Lovely critters dairy cows.

Hi Helen,
I have since found out they run about 25,000 head.They brand about 10,000 calves a year. Usually by themselves as noone wants to work, an amazing, hard working young couple who love country and cattle.

Gee Janelle that would be a big job for two people do they cut the bull calf's or ring them?
Wouldn't matter still a big job just the 10,000 implants ear tags ear marking and inoculation and a maybe drench

Hi Bob,
No drenching up here, too hot for parasites, all organic...not that you can call it that without certification.
They cut the bull calves and ear tag/ear mark and brand.
This is as well as bullock mustering, drafting and trucking from the five stations they have.
They are totally amazing and bloody nice people to go with it.

Bob, yes you did say maybe drench, sorry. I don’t know about implants, what are they for? No innoculations, no diseases. Tennant Creek north maybe?
Don’t know how long it takes over the year. Sorry, not much use am I?
Are you a farmer yourself?
Lance, they have occasional help and two awesome teenage kids but they are away at school most of the year.
