Wilbor, as you say, we could be a lot worse off. Last night's happy hour entertainment was hilarious. Cathy, the owner, is a natural bush poet (although her offerings were mostly not her own, her delivery is priceless). We're down the back on a grassed unpowered site $24 pn. Good laundry ($3 per load), very clean facilities and a dump point across the road. 25 kms from Longreach.

Funny man Terry. We got our battery, which we bought I Dubbo on way down, replaced here under warranty- it was leaking. Just went to Century, showed them the receipt, SHE removed the battery & replaced it with a new one, all within 10mins.
All the bearings have been checked by himself again- all fine. Had Nissan wheels rotated & one van tyre repaired- had a tiny nail in it & was slowly looking pressure.
Also got our Satellite phone aerial repaired- had been loose for about 6 years. He loaned us another for the day trip down to Chambers Pillar on Sunday & charged us nothing for load or repair. Stocked up on our Desert Dwellers Cream at Desert Dwellers.

What are the words ?? Arhhh yes TWATS, real estate agents (property managers) Just went and did a check of the little house we had rented out. Before it was rented we had it completely cleaned by an industrial cleaner ie walls &ceilings, freshly repainted through out, new carpet and lino, new hot water system, new stove, re grouted the bathroom tiles, new blinds and curtains and the garden was to die for (roses) We just went to have a look and what a mess, smelt like an Indian curry shop, soiled carpets and stained lino ??? in the loo?? the stove and extractor fan is caked with grease, grime in & on all the window sills, windows filthy, mould?? grime in shower, paint off where things have been bashed against door ways, heater not working, (was brand new) and the garden is so overgrown and no roses except the big rose hips from ?? 2 rys ago when we did them.. I rang the agent and asked if their final inspection had been done and by whom?? Ummmm "not by me but I shall find out and ring you back" that was 45mins ago.. Contract clearly states to be left in the same condition as when first let.. Told the lady the house was disgusting and I am not happy..What they saw when / if they did those inspections is any bodies guess, most likely just did a quick glance over... yet they get paid and do not do their job = typical.. They have just lost our business but not until that house is back to the way it was. I have the photos of bwfore it was rented.. Maybe that's why it hasn't sold ???? mongrels and twats all in one ball od doo doo...

No Lesley not that one, that must be a newbie.. The one I was meaning was an old fire truck in the block next door to the CP.. but that was a few yrs ago.
