OK, OK, OK, I admit I did take it to the op shop, but they said the quality was far too good for them to be able to sell it, mind you some of the prices some op shops are charging these days is totally out of the ball park.. Steve W are you bucking for no scones next time you are passing by

Come on Deborah, get stuck into this motley crew, they are being naughty little old boys.

Boys, Dot says I need to get stuck into you lot.
You are such cheeky buggas, no way would Dot pawn or sell her individual jewellery/artwork cause it was speshully made just for her. I will not make another one anything like that one again, so her masterpiece is staying with her. So settle petals, its all good.
It aint easy cutting tiny bits of glass to get them just right to fit onto bigger bits of glass and then slowly heating them up to a mere 700degreesC. Kitchen stoves only go up to 250degreesC, and the glass is red hot by the time it all fuses together, so its quite a fascinating process. The glass changes colours once heated, so it's also a mystery until it is totally cooled before I know exactly what the finished work will look like.
Thanks for trying the pic Dot I dunno how to do that again, but I will try with another photo, just for luck.xx

Hi Deborah... Loved the necklace that you made Dot I to have a fiddle with Jewellery making but I use mainly beads, I have taken it on the roiad with me but found that I needed so many components that it just got to hard to do not to mentioned the extra weight

Deb, I'm impressed!

As for the heat, is it practical to soak the oven mitts prior?

Dot, try shooting them sunlit
EDIT: I may be confused as to who is doing the photography here, but that's ok for a meerdawg.

Thanks Dot, The pics are as good as I can manage at the moment and it is really difficult to capture the amount of sparkle that they have.
Ros I love your work too, its lovely to see what other clever clogs are here too. If you seriously want to buy one, we can do some pm-ing to make it work.
Dawg, do you really think my hand goes into a kiln at nearly 800degrees? No way, the glass has to be slowly dropped down to 500 degrees and held for twenty minutes,to settle its molecules and then left in the closed kiln over night to slowly drop to room temperature. Only then do I dare to put my tiny mits into the kiln. Its still a fun project, so you may meet me at a market place over summer. I just gotta find the right market......like an afternoon one for a start. I just don't do mornings!

I know exactly where you are coming from here, my 0600 starts and finishes are a thing of the distant past, thank god (and superannuation)
