More than a little I reckon. I would not hold out for "third time lucky" and just leave the door unlocked next time and pitty the poor sod that had to suffer.
dawg (why wouldn't they just give me the secret combination? )
Experience is a wonderful thing. It helps you recognise a mistake when repeated.
The new nursing home in Strath is owned by some Indians and they get their staff into the country by providing jobs for 12-24mths then they move on to another job in one of the other NH's owned by the "importers" these nurses do not speak much if any Australian so how the hell do they care for the residents?? might explain the amount of times the fire trucks and ambulances going in and out of there so much? The "workers" have a route from India to the UK to NZ then to Aust. Once in all ok and away we go.. The male of the house was supposedly an electrician but he had to ask why the doorbell was not working? "Ummmm turn this switch on" Brad we have seen much worse than you could ever imagine in our loo and we promise not to peep or Laugh if we did..

Hope you all had something nice done for you today. I had a random act of kindness...well sort of. What a lovely surprise to go to the mailbox and find some gorgeous lavender from Dot. OOhh I feel speshul! Now it was my turn to get a warm fuzzy. Thanks lovely lady.xxxx
Awww shucks, who will be next to get the "fuzzy feeling" Update on the cranky yank property manager, we have ignored her stupid rant of "You MUST NOT either knock on the tenants door OR put a letter in his mail box" as that is an invasion of his privacy. So last night G went to the house and knocked on the door and introduced himself to the tenant, he is a very nice young man and spoke to G for around 45mins and was very pleased that he made the effort to make himself known. Anyway without the permission of the cranky yank the electrician has been organised for Sat morning to fix the light fitting while the tenant is at work and G will be letting the sparkie in to do the job. Now all this was done within 45 minutes from go to woe without the stupid woman's knowledge. She now has been given the required 60 days notification that her services are no longer required. Talk about delusions of grandeur (I did ring and ask consumer if the landlord could drop a letter in the mailbox or knock on the front door before we did) answer = YES.

Its funny, I know theses guys and their "Nursing Homes", I was lucky enough to have my mother stay in one for respite care, she called it "Buckingham Palace", the facilities, the care we're of a VERY high standard. I knew the bossman and played golf with him for a few years and his major problem was getting staff. Can you imagine how many qualified or prepared to be qualified staff there would be in Strath to satisfy a facility like that.
If I was you I would be booking into them now cause its a first class facility run by a first class organisation.
By the time your ready for a place like that staff speaking english will matter not.

Might explain why there was an overdose there recently by a "trained" staff member "imported" and when the incident form was read it stated she did not understand the instructions. (Yes the nice detectives were there" And the amount of D's & V's happening lately and Oh the safety concerns of the fire dept re access if there is an emergency and the staff on night shift standing out on the road side smoking.(staff are NOT to leave the premises whilst on duty) As with ALL nursing homes they all look very pretty and nice but different story when you work and know what does go on inside those nice flash walls.. It is nice to stick up for your golf buddies BUT I stick up for the ones that have no voice mainly because the people that see the frilly things do not see the other things that the ones that do know what goes on. It is a fact that that is how this particular private nursing home gets their staff. Good staff is available here in Strath but first they have to be paid the correct award rates . I don't really worry how they operate their facilities but when I know first hand from experience I will not be shut up. Too many deaths happen in all these nursing homes and the one we are alluding too is just one of the many . From experience my mother was one of the "unlucky ones" but the rights of the aged found her case so interesting that the hostel / nursing home had to notify them before they treated any more terminal patients, just for a snippet of their working values... Oxygen cylinders kept in a bathroom where a male resident used to go for a sneaky smoke, no O2 in the tank when needed, O2 kept in the wrong place, nurse did not know how to operate the suction (I had to show her) no RN on night duty to administer the morphine needed. Faulty equipment ie sub cut medication driver not working BUT the staff were recording meds used ?? (They were told this machine was not working) The RN on call would not come in because it would have taken her 45mins to get there.. Luckily I had balls and rang an emergency Dr who came and confirmed the machine was not working... Reason NO batteries. He also wrote a wonderfully scathing report to the Aged care Office. There were lots more things but I think you get the drift. I did not attack the owners of this nursing home personally just stated the true and provable facts. Sorry Russell if this offends your golfing friend but I did not make it personal just factual.
