I would like to start a campfire type thread but not sure how to start one that reproduces that atmosphere of silent contemplation so often seen as good friends sit, sipping whatever, and stare into the gambolling flames e.g. a Zen thread.

...uuummmmmmm........ We have a back patio with a fire place built from old truck brake drums, perfect for that sit back and just stare with a cool drink in hand to soothe away the day and allow casual chat to flow. I think we spend far more time out there than inside the house. There is gym at the other end of the patio but there's an air hockey table covered in works in progess (not crap Margaret) seperating it away from the relaxing area
