Nth Qld Crocodiles

Post by KevKim37 »

I took these photos on the morning of 16/08/2013 along a two kilometre section of the Lwr reaches of the Mulgrave River in Nth Qld at 9:30am along with my wife, sister and brother in law. The lower areas of these river are pretty much still in their natural state and anyone venturing too close is a recipe for disaster. Also has bull sharks in the fresh water.

Photos from top 1&2 around 4.5 to 5m.

Photo 3 - 5m> a very large croc.

Photo 4 - 3.5 to 4m.

Photo 5 - Area of the croc with pig.

Photos 6 to 13 - 4.5 to 5m with pig.( also fairly large).

Photos 14 to 15 - smaller 3 to 3.5 m.

There are "CROC WARNING SIGNS" near the accessible river banks where people frequent but some have been seen in the water or very close to edge on occasions.!?. Scarey, especially since hearing of someone taken in the Mary river NT where there would be heaps more crocs.

Cheers Kevin.
