We have 2 chaps at our local pub.
Both are really artists to the 10th degree.
One really knows the art of telling jokes & the other is simply a Bull**** artist & will never change...........
On the other hand my departed mother thought she was an artist in the true sense of the word.
I just don't know what to do with her bark paintings & oil, water & other creations.
Anyone here do the bark ones?
The complete job is made by gluing hundreds of different coloured bits of bark on the canvas.
Both are really artists to the 10th degree.

Dot, I reckon there is a big difference between grafitti and street art. Grafitti IMHO is just some grubby little pr*ck wasting stolen(usually) paint, while street art is something that is worth looking at. It's bit like beauty, it's in the eye of the beholder.Dot wrote:Is graffiti "art"?

Chuck told me today in the daily lesson, that graffiti was "illegal" so those that like it are condoning an illegal activity, so I went and scrubbed my messages to the Gman off his shed!

I think not. Now I have just had a discussion about some "art" work by Leonardo Da Vinci and his painting of a lady with a duck and two kids, that at least was able to be recognised. Then there was the other guy that cut his ear off his "art" is a bit bizarre/sloppy to me.
