What about 1770, it's not even a name just a number. The number is relevant though.

Never cease to get an odd expression when I mention Muckelford Victoria. For the life of me I cannot understand why, as it is a reasonable sounding name right? Not like Kangi Angy or Tumbi Umbi NSW. lol

dawg (but then there is a very strange place called Texas in Qld - now that is odd)

Ijust want to say I have never been a speller and people know it is just me

If you think we have strange place names in Oz, you might want to check out Pommyland - via 'Escape to the Country' on the TV - now some of them are totally weird, but funny.

There is my home town, Binnaway then on the Murray river is Howlong.
