Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Bruce is very pleased with his eye, vision from it is very good, happy he has had it done.

Y'day we played Davistown, we were late beginning owing to a shower of rain, turned out a good day although it was cold & windy, our other team played Bateau Bay both games at home & both teams won completely scored all the points, good atmosphere in the club.
Hi Shirley, what was the out of pocket expenses for the eye op after the private medical insurance paid it's bit?
Had the needles in the eyes yesterday and apparently there is bleeding in the right eye, so the needles are back to 8 weeks apart.

Seems the elective surgery is reaching the "never-never gunna get there" stage with the rolling outbreaks of Covid and the flu hospitalising so many and this new monkey pox thing, so I might have to sell one of the kids to fund the costs of having the cataract done on the private scheme :o

Good morning everyone. We have just returned home from a trip I to the for Terrie, and then a walk on the ocean beach.
It was bedlam, people everywhere. Forgot it was a public holiday for Brisvegas.
Shirley, will you do a bit more travel, now that Bruce has his eyes fixed?
Bernie, I hope you only have the version of Covid that makes you just a little bit crook. Not the real bad one.
Bob, I reckon you're In trouble next time you two catch up for a coffee.
Safe travels everybody. Happy hump day.
Cheers

Oh Dave. ;) So subtle, but what a ripper of a pun. Fish, Covid and now coffee.

They want to charge me two $500 excesses — for physical and electrical damage.
Well, the insurance company finally saw the light!
Whoever took my call with the supplementary claim didn’t log it as a supplementary, but a new claim.
Fortunately I noted the Call ID number she gave me, and they tracked down a record of my call.
Explanation reviewed.
(Didn’t know sensors for carport lights weren’t working until 2 weeks later when we went out at night. Electrician discovered they were full of water from the storm overflow. :o Fixed immediately — live wires & water — not a good combination. Tripped the circuit breaker, fortunately.)
Supplementary has now been linked to the original claim & payment request generated.
Now I just need the reviewer to OK it & Bob’s your auntie’s husband. 😅🤞
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Same sort of thing, we have a land line on copper as NBN is so crap here, good for data though ?
Anyway lightning strike last March or so, took out copper and heaps of other crap.
Many months later started to get intermittent scratching on the line.
Guy came from Telstra depot 60 klicks away instead of local guy, pronounced no problem.
Would not let them close complaint so local Telstra guy comes 2 days later, knows what the problem is as he fixed the earlier stuff, tells me what the problem is, goes to the exchange and replaces a lightning protector that slowly degrades after a big lightning event, yes he was right with diagnosis.

WTF big bill from Telstra for the first guy who found nothing wrong !!!!

Spent hours on the phone explaining again and again before they ripped it up.
If we were on direct debit would not have even known..............

Terry, Bruce's eyes are being done by Vision eye institute, out of pocket expense for each surgery is $500 =$1,000, consultations before surgery $550, eye drops $70, so far $1620, fund covered hospitalisation but we have a $500 excess per member per year for first visit to hospital, so that takes our expense to $2,120, hopefully our fund will cover the anaesthetist.

My friend from bowls came down with Covid last Sunday, she couldn't bowl y'day, I rolled up with her on Saturday morning, I have tested each day negative, spoke to her y'day told me that she has cold shivers, sore throat & just completely tired.
Hope that you are ok Bernie, not a good way to end you time away, get well soon.

David, time will tell, if we do it will definitely be a MH of some description, pleased that we sold the van, think he will be a new man being able to see, in the car park at Woolies this morning, he read the sign on a Jims' mowing trailer a couple of rows over from us, was just a blur out of his other eye.

Thanks Shirley, my specialist Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon, to do the job private, including the theatre fees and anaesthetist, is quoted at $2,300, so that sounds like a bargain now. This is the same person who does the needles in my eyes so I trust him completely.
I best hurry up and book the op before the price goes up, it could take me a while to get the money working the street corner in fishnets, short skirt and heels

The theatre fee was $1150, Tuggerah Lakes Private Hospital.
The $500 to the surgeon is the GAP chargeabove Medicare allowance.

As Shirley said, your quote doesn't include the hospital charges. (which, if something goes wrong can get expensive.)

Oh, and Nigel reckons more rain for western NSW over the next three days.... which is frustrating him no end as he was going there looking for art works.

Did you know that you are able to ask the gas man and also the surgeons to bulk bill you for any ops?? I have never paid any out of pocket experiences apart from a couple of earlier specialists initial consults. Terry if you joined a private mob now they have a waiting period for existing conditions (1 yr) We also have the $500 excess hosp stay yearly each. After the first hosp stay you can go back as many times as you need to. All my CT, PET.MRI.all X/R's scans are free. and the waiting times to see specialists is always under 4 weeks sometimes earlier. Also includes ambulance cover. If I didn't have private health and an excellent GP I would of been dead now. Get well Bernie and all others feeling crook, bashed and battered. I had my steroid jab into my ankle yesterday, so far so good re pain and it wasn't any worse than a pin prick. Current temp 14degs. Thanks for that info jd have passed on to the old man :D
