Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

OMG you have to laugh at this one
Slow day with a bit of thunder and a few sessions of rain while we were digging holes to plant some of those "blood something" bulbs  Gum leaves from next doors trees are a PITA, I raked heaps up and G came behind me putting them in the green waste bin. Then we tackled the canna plants, they had been busy multiplying, we dug out 3 huge box's of them and put them out the front for the night stalkers to take. This gardening thing is getting too much. Real estate man couldn't come as planned as he was crook just after he left home so he rang and we will catch up this week sometime, Terry thanks for the offer to borrow your pressure cleaner, we have a Karcher but it is too much for 360sq mts and us old farts find it too exhausting so may hire a big scrubbing one and get a handyperson to operate the thing. Will head to Bunnings to suss out their sealing stuff. This week on the old farts calendar is Tuesday my boob squeeze, Friday G sees the gut specialist re his hernia. Watching the Lockerbie doco, gee they did a great job to find out who did it considering the year. Boys on Bikes on soon so I am off for a shower. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight R-n-Bob x :D Hope you are feeling better. C U :D

Thanks Dot. How can I unsee those blubber boys?
Yep, gardens need all year care and can get to be too big a job as the years pass. Do remember how much pleasure that you gain from it. xxxx

Started the morning at 10am with a loud knock on the door. The lady who sold me a lot of sheets of glass a couple of years ago, came to give me some small glass treats. She found quite few boxes of pieces of scrap glass, that she sold to me yesterday, I could not be happier. She has saved me a bomb and given me a lot of fancy inspiration. I am amazed that she had so many fairly large pieces that she had put aside as scrap. In my shed, they are too precious to be tossed on the scrap heap. I hate to waste any glass. She seems like the sort of wealthy person, who starts a hobby and gets totally involved in it. She buys only the best equipment and makes a fair bit of stuff then moves on to another hobby. Such a waste of money, glad it was her being wasteful and not me.

After breakfast we had quite a loud storm with heavy rainfall. It passed just when we needed to get to telstra to return the wifi dongle that was over heating. It took us an hour and a half, but I came back with a replacement dongle and so far it seems to be behaving in a much better way...fingers crossed that it stays that way.

Tomorrow, we will start heading South. Probably get as far as Tamworth.

stay safe and sleep tight vegemites xxx

It was another warmish day today so put off going to Beaumont's and buntings to check out bathroom stuff so will go early tomorrow then get the boob squeeze in the afternoon.. Horror hit this house early this morning, I was brushing Brians tummy when I thought I saw a bit of dirt move: shock: another look and Oh yes there it was, a flea so it quickly got clicked between my nails. This morning the appropriate spot on was applied. G went to the vet to get the treatment but when shown the $80 + stuff they would discount to $60 odd they got told no thank you and got it from the supermarket for $12. Brian has never ever had fleas, must of got them from the vets. Anyway did a bit of garden stuff again then O. Getting to the time to start chucking seeds around for the pretty flowers to pop up esp the red poppy seeds. You sound like you made a good score Deborah, let's see what you make out of the rich lady's glass. Hope you are feeling better Robert n Bob. Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Riverlander x :D

Got to both B places today, The over priced bathroom ware is a rip off how do they justify those prices? We walked up and down the many examples of bowls, loos, taps, tiles and decided it was far to hard so that has gone on the back burner again. Had a call from G's gut surgeons PA to ask if we would change the appointment time on Friday? great I had just changed an appointment I had to fit in with G's appointment. I really think these people think everyone sits around waiting for them to go out of their way for you. The lady said she would give G a shorter time, (15 mins) so I said "that's fine because it will be cheaper because all he has to do is feel G's gut, read the Ref Dr's letter then get his PA to book him for surgery" She had no answer to that  Then back to Mt Barker for my Boob squeeze, ouch then home totally exhausted at 5pm. My poor feet are really not happy tonight. While in the green building we checked out the paving sealant, turns out the cost of it was only a couple of hundred $ cheaper than the pros doing it so I guess we will have to bite the bullet. Tomorrow the Aged care people are coming to see what aid we need like gutters cleaned, and mopping of the floors and shower screen neither of us can get down to do that these days. Too tired to stay up for anything so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight David x :D Stay safe and enjoy, Pics please

Dot, we found the bathroom shops are a rip off. Did a lot of local research until we found a friend who had a small company do their reno and it was half the price of the big shops and really well done Until you see someone else's bathroom to look at quality and finish I wouldn't even try. Good luck with GMan's doc xxxx

Robert, hope each day brings a better result for you.

Today was an op shop discovery tour. I have found several books by one of my fav Aussie authors. Liz Byrski, writes for older Aussie women with great story lines and no B&S balls insight. So I am happy to find some more good reading.

We just got a quote for stall prices for the opal festival at Lightning Ridge. Last year I paid $500 for a small table and a half table in a corner site. I made some profits, but didn't include petrol or camping fees, in my reckoning. This year, for the same one and half tables they are demanding $750. I just cannot manage that sort of pricing. Looks like our winters in the warmer climates will now be over. As we are already in the outback, from The Ridge it's an almost easy drive up to Sapphire and Rockhampton, but not happening this year. I just cannot justify the much travel for a couple of weekends in a warmer climate. So now the research is on for some newer events and probably with the crazy crystals and mystics mob. I will have to cut my stuff down to only two tables worth, but the travel (in colder areas) will be a lot lighter. Time will tell, which events she will have space for jewellery stalls.

Tomorrow we will head for home and get started on the research to see if I can find any other lapidary events clos-ish to home. I need to be able to print out all the different pages, to be able to do some comparisons and travel workings.

sweet dreams out there xxx
Deborah

Had a good day, the lady from MAC spent over 2 hrs with us today. She has put just about every available service down for us She said some services may take longer because most of the Australian customers do not want these types of work, she said she has had some people say they told their "helper" to go away because they were not Australian :o I told her as long as they can speak English and are clean on presentation then they are ok. The people that have that attitude go to the bottom of the list. Friend has suggested we look at that "wet wall" paneling for the bathrooms, they said they have had no issues with it. Has anyone here used it Having an AJ "treatment" on Sunday and she has some more different colored Iris's for me. :D Spoke to HTFFBO today, her pain has settled a bit but still not right. Poor old Bugger she deserves better than this. We got into the bus this afternoon, remade the bed, checked what clothes we needed to put in for cold weather IF we are still ok to go away. Hoping to get G in asap to have his hernia done say within 3 weeks then he will have 3 weeks recouperation so all should be ok to get away .Spring bulbs are beginning to appear already. Robert n Bob, hope your chest clears up soon. Any bowls lately Shirley? Deborah Have a prosperous weekend.. David, you will be knackered by the time you read this but just do it! Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight NC George x :D
