Hi everyone. Who has a Hino Rainbow? That is what we think we want to buy and would like any info, good or bad please.

Are you after a ready fitted out one or are you wanting to do a fitout yourself?
I probably know where an older one is if you are interested?
Better tell us exactly what you're after and for how much?

Hi Goinbush. I have an RB145K. [ Aus. delivery ]. It is a GREAT BUS. Be prepared to boost the suspension as they do have a tendency to sway, which can be a little scary. Very quiet to drive, Can be a little awkward doing gear changes due to gear stick up front and gearbox at rear. I used nearly a tube of Nulon Smooth Shift in the gearbox which made a huge difference. First gear just to get you rolling then 2nd.Around 16 lts/ 100 kms. fuel consumption fully laden.
Nearly forgot to mention, the Aus. delivery models have larger diameter torsion bars both front and rear compared to the imported models.

No, it's ok here I guess. We aren't looking to buy one (yet) just wanting to talk with others who own or have owned them. Thanks anyway.

We are starting to look at bigger and bigger buses :shock: some of the forty footers look great but thirty feet seems a good length we think. We will be towing a Vitara, don't want to end up like a road train :lol:

No, nothing like that please Bruce, we don't want the Vitara to have to tow the bus!

The Driver just said he'd have to drive in circles round the petrol station to keep it fuelled up. :lol:
