Keli'i is another one of many that I have no personal experience with but like everything else they have a mixed reputation.
That said, a blokes in one of our Uke groups has one and loves it to death :) His is a Concert from memory
With the resurgence of Ukes happening there is a whole new range of instruments becoming available, from the low end all the way through to the top of the range, but each one of them will sound and feel different to each player.

We need a Ukulele thread :D

Ohh Gosh :o Look what I just found :P

Well, due to circumstances beyond and some possibly within my control if I had my brain switched on at the time, we missed out on getting the Uke. A god send many will say without ever hearing my talented playing, if I'd actually got it who knows

You might be better off in your new spot Lesley, the "left right out" 400's sites are a long way from the main excitement area.

Terry, as I wasn’t having any luck finding a Uke on our travels, I emailed Chrissy at STC to ask if there was a possibility of some being available at the Festival. There will be new ones for sale ranging from $70. Apparently there was an announcement in a January newsletter. http://stonethecrows.com.au/crow-chronicle-6.html

Just realised we stuffed up the dates for STC arrival. We assumed it would be for the week before Easter, but now discovered we aren't due at the gate until 11 am Good Friday 30th March. Looked through the program and we won't actually be there for the following Thursday when the lithium talk is slotted into program. Now we are busy rescheduling everything but we will still be at STC from the 30th March.

Whoops, according to the program you are doing the Lithium talk on the Thursday. [emoji15]The solar and batteries talk is by Bill Brady - is that Ballarat Bill? Our arrival time, I just checked, is 7.30-7.45 am on Good Friday. Not sure where we will camp the night before. I think Wilkes Park will be packed.

Lesley, what about an early start from Henty Showgrounds ($10 ?)
It's about 45mins (60km) south of Wagga with heaps of room.
We did that last year and drove into Wagga early.
Ukes may be a little overpriced at STCs and they probably won't have a big range to choose from.
Keep looking about on the way, ideally you do need to get the feel of an instrument before you commit. ;)

Thanks Lance. Henty is probably a bit too far south as we are coming down from Yass. STC have announced 50 caravan spots at Collingullie Pub. We will see how we go. Will keep an eagle eye out for Ukes but don’t like our chances.
