Hi Dottie,
Believe me, coming down off some of those cancer fighting drugs can be really hard, but the end result is well worth it.
Weaning off them slowly is the best and least painful way.
You are in our prayers as you work your way through this time.
How’s the swallowing going? Any easier yet?
We’re still on track for a departure on 15th...
Looking forward to seeing you both.
Regards to G, and keep fighting this thing!

Saw GP today, results of blood tests came back as AOK :D said it sounds like I have a virus due to my immune syst being down due to the huge dose of radiation I was given. Finally got the OK to stop that nasty Dexamethasone totally but to keep on the Fentanyl patch for another 2 weeks (on the smallest dose) hoping this lethargy and no appetite will start to improve soon. I have been in bed for the past 2 weeks but don't remember much of it. See the tongue surg again in 2 weeks and the PET scan will be booked to see how we went. Going to the sea side for 5 days R&R hoping the sea air will do some good

Keep fighting, Dottie!
Those Fentanyl patches really turn you into a zombie....
Get off them as soon as you can.
Try using one every alternate day (or however long you're supposed to keep them on), to see if it eases your lethargy a bit.
With you on this one... XXX

Latest update is.. Saw the tongue man this Monday and he sent me for a CT and today I got to read the report that said no signs of any reoccurrences of any mass's so have to be happy with that but not taking the word of the CT as gospel but shall await the PET scan later on. Still having trouble finding the cause/reason for the lack of appetite and sickly feeling but that is a minor issue for now. Good news for now. :D :D

Good to hear Dot. Try to relax till that PET scan comes around. After Erich’s follow-up with his surgeon this afternoon, we are heading bush for a couple of weeks.

Cheers
