Thought for Today

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Yes, but you must leave the valve open, otherwise the pressure trapped inside will expand the bag till it ruptures .... then it will vac pack the contents :lol:

Part 1
Using Newton's 3 law, every force has an equal and opposite force, if a gun was fired in space, would the shooter move backwards at the same rate the bullet moved forward?
Part 2
Would the bullet penetrate the material on impact or simply push the material away from the bullet similar the the reaction seen in a Newton's cradle?

force = mass x acceleration.

your proposal doesn't consider mass.

in terms that everyone can understand..... your car hits a wombat at 100kph. The wombat doesn't move. The car is destroyed.

I wasn't looking at the religious side of it, never been to a mass because I'm not religious, so are wombats chronically catholic where cars are agnostic, therefore the wombat wins?

No, a bloke I worked with had one for a while and he was involved in an aircraft cabin depressurisation, in his words "a life changing event that saw him go through the procedure to have the bag idea gone and back to the normal method of waste discharge before he'd risk flying again, always carried a number of changes of clothes with him in case of accidents
