As most would know Carol and I are baby sitting a orchard , Apples .Pears, Berries .
Because of the fruit fly problem that Tassie got early in the year "biosecurity" is on the ball .
On Friday one turned up to check the fruit fly trap that they have hanging in a tree , they come every week I think but most times they come and go without being seen . Well as I did see said "bioman" this time .
He got out of his vehicle and put on his yellow vest checked the trap removed vest then drove off .
Those bloody fruit fly's must be dangerous if you need a vest to protect yourself .
Work safe in practice .
Bernie .
ps: I agree with what they are doing to protect Tassie from the fruit fly .
PPS : Bill if you read this I'm picking up Ann from the airport on Tuesday .

I reckon he'd catch more if he didn't have the vest on.

My assumption is that the 'yellow vest' was a visual indication of his authourity.
It probably had some identification marking on it. 8-)
I doubt it would be a first if someone had abused an uninvited, unidentified stranger on a property.

I'd be happy for him to be there as long as I knew who he was and why he was there ;)

:o "political".........bluddy spelling police........... :D

Maybe it's so as if he falls or gets hurt on the property he is properly attired for compensation? Do the right thing ?

I reckon that is probably as close to the real reason, did he have a hard hat on as well? At one place of employment I was subcontracted at the only place you were allowed to remove the helmet and hi-vis was the ablutions block, even had to wear it in the lunch room :?
