:o You'll need hand rails, a safety harness or a parachute up that high, that is in scaffolding territory

I don,t need to go that high just want a bit extra height as the bases are wider the higher they go. Will give more stability

Phil,
You can buy an aluminium one about 4ft long from the B.G.Shed: $50 or so. Adjusts from low workbench height to painting-the-gutters height.
I have one. Quite stable & easily carried solo.
Alternatively, get online and for about $100 (delivered) you can buy one of those '24-in-one' ladders advertised on TV as "not available in shops!"
Three hinge points with 3-position locks, and they come with drop-in sheets of metal (fully edged & punched for rigidity & drainage safety) to provide a good work platform. Have one of them, too.
Will post pics if you're interested.

Phil,
Visited local Bunnings yesterday.
They have the three-hinged ladders I mentioned for $99!
